I am lucky to have met somebody like that.

Liat

..and now I want to introduce you to her.

Here's my story and I am sticking to it.

Girl walks into Station 8 ,

looks at my yarn

and tells Collette 

 "my sister is an amazing knitter - I'll give her one of Magnolia's cards"

Few days later girls sister "Liat" connects with me on ETSY.

I find out she is AMAZING knitter.

Liat has taught thousands of people to knit and has even been on TV!

and to top it off she is the nicest person.

We talked some more

I send here some yarn.

and she designs this beautiful lace cowl

Is she awesome or what?!

A beautiful pattern...and free- yey!

 I knit one up too.

I used a little more than one skein and added a few more inches.

The drape is really lovely 

 I think the stiches she chose really works so well with Magnolia yarn that is bulky

it lightens it up a bit.

When I finished the cowl

Jules said why don't you make a hat to go with it?

I did.

Used the same type of stitch as Liat did

 added a pompom and voila!

(Don't ask me about the hat pattern  I just winged it.)

Magnolia Handspun!

 I have been holding my breath

here it is Magnolia Handspun.

 My love of fiber and spinning has taken over my life.

I spin art yarn

merino wool,

 bamboo

angelina

angora locks

mohair

tencel

recycled Sari

 I have been working with Collette at Shops at Station 8 for quite some time.

Selling my photography

selling my hats.

It occurred to me one day

when people are asking if I sell yarn...

that might just be a great idea.

 So over the summer I dyed and then spun over 50 or so skeins

and I set up shop at Station 8

I didn't stop there...
I spun another 50 or skeins that are completly different
and opened an ETSY shop
and listed a few there.
I will also post/list skeins here on my blog.

It makes perfect sense

getting messy

playing with colors

and spinning.

The yarn I spin is unique.

It is spun thick and thin

and no 2 skeins are the same.

So with that

I am open for any questions

or comments.
